My Experience during implementation of CCE Software CCE:PARIKSHAPHAL since 2009

CCE: PARIKSHAPHAL is a report card generation software based on CCE guidelines of CBSE(Central Board of Secondary Education), New Delhi, India. CCE was introduced by CBSE in October 2009 and instructed all affiliated schools to follow the CCE guidelines.

Grading System was introduced by the Board in the new CCE system. The basic concept of CCE is overall growth of STUDENT during the schooling, Evaluating Student on areas where he/she is interested in or has skills. It introduces a lot of paper work for teachers, class teachers, principal and school management.

One part of the CCE was "Reportcard" generation on the basis of Assessment of Student throughout the year. For which our team designed a software package named CCE:PARIKSHAPHAL. Reportcard related issues that our product solved initially was:

a. Conversion of marks to grades (on 10 point grading Scale).
b. Conversion of marks to their respective weightage of exam.
c. Calculation of Subject percentile rank for each student.
d. Preparing cumulative Term and annual report card.
e. Assigning Grades in Co-scholastic areas and activities on the basis of students skill (On Different Scale, 3 point or 5 point).
f. Keeping Report of all student Data like: Name, Fathers Name, Mothers Name, Admission Number, Clubs, House, Address, Phone Number, Board registration number etc.
g. Keeping record of student attendance.
h. Keeping record of student health status like: weight, height, blood group, vision, oral hygiene etc.


I am listing here few of the major tasks & Issues which i have faced during the implementation of the software at client end.

1. HELPING CLIENTS(SCHOOLS) TO COLLECT DATA REQUIRED FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SOFTWARE CCE:PARIKSHAPHAL.
2. HELPING CLIENTS TO ENTER DATA INTO THE SOFTWARE.
3. CUSTOMIZATION OF SOFTWARE AS PER SCHOOL REQUIREMENT.
4. TEACHERS TRAINING.
5. CLASS TEACHER'S TRAINING.
6. ADMINISTRATORS TRAINING.
7a. SOFTWARE INSTALLATION ON A SINGLE SYSTEM AND ACCESSING IT FROM ANY SYSTEM IN LAN.
7b. HELPING SCHOOL IN LAN SETTING
8. SETTING UP PAPER SETTING FOR REPORT CARD PRINTING.
9. RESETTING PAPER AND BROWSER TO PRINT WHOLE CLASS REPORT CARD'S IN A SINGLE CLICK OF MOUSE.
10.HELPING SCHOOL MANAGEMENT TO TAKE PRINTS ON SCHOOL LETTER HEAD, SPECIAL REPORT PAPER, NORMAN A4 SHEET, A5 SHEET.
11.HELPING TEACHERS AND CLASS TEACHERS TO UPDATE AND ENTER MARKS, STUDENT PROFILE, STUDENT HEALTH STATUS, DESCRIPTIVE INDICATORS.
12. PROVIDING SCHOOL SPECIFIC REPORTS IN THE SOFTWARE.
13. GENERATING CUMULATIVE MARKS SHEET, GRADE SHEET.
14. ENHANCING SOFTWARE TO SUPPORT UPGRADED GRADES ON THE BASIS OF TOTAL GRADES(MARKS) IN CO-SCHOLASTIC AREAS.
15. ADDING UP GRADE POINT AND C.G.P.A. IN REPORT CARD SOFTWARE.
16. PROVIDING TELEPHONIC, ON-LINE AND ON-SITE SUPPORT TO THE CLIENT.
17. BACKING UP DATA & SOFTWARE ON REGULAR BASIS.
18. RECOVERY FROM OPERATING SYSTEM CRASH.
19. RECOVERY FROM SOFTWARE UN-INSTALLATION.
20. REGULAR SUGGESTION TO CLIENT ON IMPLEMENTATION OF CCE SOFTWARE.
